If you could see inside this pain I must endure alone
Perhaps you'd understand
This path I walk is not my own
If I could hide your eyes my foolish pride would not be known

I'm coming out of a dark place searching for a trace of life
Through the mist this windswept hillside
But a sign of life I cannot find

Deliver me the path that I must go

The dark place along the hillside a fortress of trees and earth
The leaves would cover my innocence the ground support the guilt I hide
The deep wood in which I dwelled a short time though long it seems
Sheltered me in its warm embracce unjudging eyes
My spirit cried

Blind me to doublts that creep in
The fear that leaves my senses low
Remind me the path I have chosen
Render me the strength that I might grow





I'm looking back to the dark place
A place where I felt safe
At least within my ow mind the shadows warm embrace
The haven in which I dwelled
Protected me from the storm
War cry the hills shook from the sound
I stood upon the high ground
